Tada is a town on the Chennai-Nellore highway, just over 65 km (40 mi) from Chennai(Madras), India and 80 km (50 mi) from Tirupathi. It is located in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh and is about 1.5 km (0.93 mi) north of the Andhra Pradesh border. This place is the exact border of the Andhra Pradesh.
Its nearest major railway station is Tada and Sullurpeta. NH-5 starts from Chennai to Kolkata, which passes through Tada. Pulicat lake lies east to Tada. Further inside is a place called Varadaiahpalem, a trek up to the waterfall its highlight, which are also called Ubbalamadugu Falls locally. It offers a nice trek and an experience of rock climbing too. The forest is not commercialised much and hence it is still a true forest, and not a tourist place.
